When should we book a wedding planner in Nova Scotia?

Based in Nova Scotia, Forevermore offers full-service wedding planning, design and coordination for thoughtfully hosted wedding weekends

Most couples reach out right after getting engaged - especially if they’re dreaming up a full-service experience.

For Nova Scotia weddings, 12–18 months is a really good window (those peak summer dates and favorite venues go fast).

If you’re early, we build everything thoughtfully from the ground up.

If you’re already a bit into it, I step in, organize what’s there, and get things flowing properly.

Either way, you don’t have to feel behind or overwhelmed - once I’m in, it all starts to feel a lot lighter.

Is hiring a wedding planner worth it?

If you want to actually experience your wedding - not just manage it - then yes.

There are a lot of moving parts (more than most people expect), and having someone guiding decisions, managing logistics, and anticipating what’s needed means you’re not carrying all of that on your own.

It’s not just about how everything looks.

It’s about not being the point person for every question.

You're not checking your phone all day.

You're not wondering what’s happening next.

When the right support is in place, everything flows - and you get to enjoy it the way you’re meant to.

What does a Full-Service wedding planner actually Handle?

At a baseline - I guide the planning, design, manage logistics, communicate with your vendors, and keep everything moving the way it should.

But the real role goes deeper than that.

I’m shaping how your wedding feels - while protecting your time, your energy, and your experience throughout the process.

From the flow of the day to how your guests move through each moment, everything is thought through in advance… so nothing feels rushed, disjointed, or left to chance.

What is it actually like to work with you?

Calm. Clear.

My couples often say it feels like having someone in their corner who just gets it -

someone who’s a few steps ahead, keeping things organized, and handling what needs to be handled without it becoming a whole thing.

You’re not chasing vendors, refreshing your inbox, or wondering if you forgot something important.

You’re guided, supported, and able to enjoy the process - without it taking over your life.

So by the time your wedding weekend arrives, you’re not in “management mode”…

you’re just in it - laughing, hugging, actually having your wedding.

Do I need a wedding planner or just a coordinator?

This one always comes down to how you want your experience to feel.

If you want to be fully taken care of - from the first idea to the final send-off: Full-Service Planning & Design AKA "To Have & To Hold" is where everything is handled for you. You’re involved in the fun parts, and I take care of the rest.

If you’ve already started and just want someone to pull it all together (and make it make sense), : Planning & Design Guidance AKA "The Wedding Design" is that middle ground where everything clicks into place.

And if you’re happy planning it yourself but don’t want to be answering vendor emails in your robe with a coffee in hand on your wedding morning… that’s where our Wedding Weekend Coordination comes in AKA "The Finishing Touch". I take it from there so you can actually be there.

If you’re sitting there like “I have no idea which one I need” - perfect. That’s usually where we start.

what venues do you typically work at in Nova Scotia?

I’ve worked at some of Nova Scotia’s most beautiful venues - Fox Harb’r Resort, Lightfoot & Wolfville Winery, Bull Point Estate - and they all share that same feeling: open, coastal, and made for a full, lingering celebration.

I’m naturally drawn to spaces that feel a little like an estate weekend - where guests settle in, everything flows, and the whole experience feels effortless.

But I’m never tied to one type of venue - it’s less about the place itself and more about what we create within it.

Do you work with out-of-province couples?

Yes - and honestly, a lot of my couples are planning from away.

I become your person here. The one who’s actually on the ground, keeping things moving, checking in on details, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

You don’t have to figure out Nova Scotia vendors, timelines, or logistics from afar - I handle that for you.

So you can stay excited about your wedding, instead of stressed about managing it from a different city.

Do you take on a limited number of weddings?

Yes - and very intentionally.

I take on a limited number each season so every couple gets a high level of attention, care, and thoughtful guidance.

It means I’m not stretched thin - and you’re not just another date on the calendar.

Do you help with design and aesthetic decisions?

Always - design is a big part of what I do.

Whether we’re building your vision from the ground up or refining what you’ve already started, I guide the overall look and feel from early ideas through to final execution.

Everything is considered in relation to your setting, your guests, and how the day unfolds - so it doesn’t just look beautiful, it feels cohesive and intentional from start to finish.

Will you communicate with my vendors for me?

Yes - and this is where you feel it the most.

Depending on the level of support, I take over communication so you’re not fielding emails, answering logistical questions, or keeping track of a dozen moving pieces.

Especially in the final weeks, everything is handled behind the scenes - aligned, confirmed, and moving exactly as it should.

No late-night email threads. No “just circling back on this.”

Just everything… taken care of.

Will you Personally be there on the wedding day?

Always.

I’m there with my team leading the day, managing the timeline, and making sure everything unfolds exactly as planned - without you needing to think about any of it.

From the quiet, getting-ready moments to the final transitions of the night, we’re behind the scenes keeping everything flowing.

You won’t be pulled aside with questions.
You won’t be solving problems.

You just get to be there.

How much does a wedding planner cost in Nova Scotia?

Investment

Investment depends on the level of support and overall scope of your wedding.

At Forevermore:

Wedding Weekend Coordination begins at $4,500

Planning & Design Guidance begins at $7,000

Full-Service Planning & Design begins at $10,000

Most couples choose based on how involved they want to be - and we’ll walk through that together so it feels clear and comfortable from the start.

For the Nova Scotia Wedding Planners we love to recommend when our calendar is full, their rates start at $3,500 - $9,500.

It is important to note that not all planners offer the exact same experience and we each bring something different to the table.

What is your Travel Rate?

I’m based on the South Shore and travel throughout Nova Scotia (and beyond) for weddings.

For anything outside my immediate area, there’s a flat $1,500 + tax travel investment.

That covers me being fully there - not popping in and out, not rushing - just present, steady, and handling everything from rehearsal through to the final moments of your wedding weekend.

Because that’s when it matters most.

If you’re planning something outside of Nova Scotia, travel is customized based on where we’re headed and what’s needed.

How does payment work?

A 25% retainer secures your date, with the remaining balance split into scheduled payments leading up to your wedding.

Everything is clearly outlined in your contract, so there are no surprises along the way.

And for couples collecting points for their honeymoon - we do accept credit card.

What happens after we inquire?

Once you reach out, you’ll hear from me within 24–48 hours.

From there, we’ll set up a call to talk through your plans, your vision, and what you’re looking for - so we can see if it feels like the right fit.

It’s relaxed, conversational, and genuinely helpful.

No pressure. No awkward sales energy.
Just a really good starting point.

If you're reading this and thinking:

"This is exactly what I need"

You don't have to figure anything else out first.
You can just reach out.
